And the paperwork continues ... Unfortunately, bringing Graham home was not the end of the paperwork for our adoption. We still have a checklist of things to do - post-placement reports from our social worker, re-adoption in IL for a US birth certificate, application for citizenship, etc. So far, we've done our first post-placement report (our social worker was very impressed with how well Graham is adjusting) and yesterday we went to court to start the IL re-adoption process (I finally got to put Graham in a sweater vest - so cute). It was remarkably painless and our lawyer and the judge were super nice. Now we just wait for our final judgment (hopefully by the end of April) and then they will issue Graham an IL birth certificate. After that comes more paperwork, but we'll deal with that when the time comes.
