Birthday

Today is Graham's 2nd birthday. I tried to explain "birthday" to him but I realized it's a hard concept to understand if there's nothing to actually see. Plus, most Ethiopians don't celebrate birthdays unless they're from a large city (which Graham was not) so he's probably never seen a birthday celebration. He did appreciate the presents and the cake. He has decided that he loves Elmo (not sure why since we've only watched Sesame Street maybe 3 times) so we got him an Elmo stuffed doll and a couple of Elmo videos. Since the weather was unbelievably beautiful today, we went to the park and played outside for hours. All in all, I think he had a great time on his birthday.
